United Way of Adams County names Kimber director of development and communications

QUINCY — United Way of Adams County recently announced that Quincy native Kate Kimber has been named director of development and communications.

Kimber has been working in St. Louis, Mo., for the past five years. 

In a press release, Kimber said, “I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, and it has been a rewarding journey understanding both the needs of the community and the support it receives.”

Kimber’s professional journey includes significant roles in aquatics management for non-profit organizations, as well as experience in restaurant management and marketing for small businesses and international exchange nonprofits. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Culver-Stockton College.

“I am excited to apply the knowledge and insights gained from both my academic pursuits and professional experience to give back to a community that has given me so much over the years,” Kimber said.
