The Log Cabin Village in Quinsippi Island Park

QUINCY — The Friends of the Log Cabins has scheduled a workday from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 27 in the Log Cabin Village in Quinsippi Island Park, which can accessed by All America Park, just off Bonansinga Drive.

Plans are to prepare the village for Frontier Settlement Day on Sept. 10. Volunteers are needed to help clean up the site and prepare the structures for public viewing.  Volunteers should wear old clothes and bring gloves if possible. “Many hands make the tasks go faster,” John Gebhardt, president of the Friends of the Log Cabins, said in a press release.

People who would like to help on Sept. 10 by either setting up, facilitating or tearing down can volunteer anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
