End of summer carnival set for Thursday at Willow Grove Childcare and Learning Center in Carthage

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Hancock County Senior and Childcare Services will be the host of an end-of-summer carnival that will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Willow Grove Childcare and Learning Center, 641 Buchanan.

This event is free and open to the public in collaboration with Memorial Hospital. It offers activities and resources for children and families. The evening will feature:

• Refreshments
• Face painting
• Bouncy house
• Kids’ games and activities
• Family resources provided by Memorial Hospital
• Tours of Willow Grove
• Carnival treats
• Teddy bear clinic

In a press release, Chris McKay, executive director of Hancock County Senior and Childcare Services, said, “We’re thrilled to host this event to celebrate the end of summer with the community. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy quality time and explore what we offer.”
