Memorial Hospital spring market and campus showcase to be held May 12

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital‘s spring market and campus showcase is set for 3-7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, on the front lawn of the hospital’s campus at 1454 N. County Road 2050 in Carthage.

Free A1C screenings, skin screenings and strength screenings will be offered. A teddy bear clinic will be available to teach children how to give their favorite stuffed animal or doll a checkup. The Future Farmers of America organization will help children plant seeds to take home and be the host of a petting zoo. A career fair featuring walk-in interviews, along with health education handouts, craft vendors, food vendors and complimentary samples prepared by Memorial Hospital’s Chef Jake will be available. The public also can tour the new health and wellness center. COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will be available.

Participants can enter drawings to win prizes by partaking in screenings and visiting vendors. The grand prize winner will receive a gift basket valued at more than $200. The spring market will offer many booths. Focus Fitness will have a drawing for a free fitness membership. Anyone who stops by the Memorial Hospital Foundation booth to make a donation to the foundation will receive a free plant. Spring photo opportunities will also be available with an antique 1949 pickup truck.
