14th annual trivia night, silent auction on Nov. 4 helps support Birthright clients
QUINCY – Birthright of Quincy’s 14th annual trivia night and silent auction will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, inside Quincy University’s Health and Fitness Center.
Doors open and silent auction begins at 5 p.m. Trivia will start at 6:45 p.m. sharp.
For years, this event has packed more than 500 people in the center to enjoy a trivia contest and silent auction of more than 200 locally donated items. Money raised by the annual event represents half the funds needed to support Birthright’s clients for the entire year.
The contest will feature 11 rounds of 22 different categories. The 10 best round scores will count for each team’s overall score.
Teams of up to eight players can register online at birthrightquincyil.org, the Birthright Facebook page or contact Birthright at 217-224-1277 for a registration form. Cost is $125 per team and includes five mulligans and eight lifeline tickets. Prizes will be awarded to the top two winning trivia teams. Cost is $10 for people who only wish to observe and/or participate in the auction.
Team members may bring their own beverages and snacks. Food provided by the Butcher Block will be available for purchase.
The silent auction includes many locally donated items for bidding, with the various items and baskets listed on the Birthright Facebook page.
Anyone who would like to donate a basket or item for the silent auction can call 217-224-1277 and leave a message for Patty, Pam or Katie.
