Adams County Bicentennial to announce sponsorship with JM Huber at press conference Thursday

ADAMS COUNTY Ill. — The Adams County Bicentennial Commission will announce a significant new sponsorship with JM Huber as part of its ongoing efforts to celebrate Adams County’s 200th anniversary in 2025.

A press conference will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, at JM Huber’s Quincy headquarters, 4150 Gardner Expressway.

Steve McQueen, plant manager, Performance Minerals Huber Engineered Materials SBU, said in a press release, “JM Huber Corporation has been a cornerstone of Adams County for many decades, with three plants providing jobs and security for residents of both Illinois and Missouri. The Huber family’s commitment to our community has been unwavering, contributing significantly to our local economy and the well-being of countless families.”

The contribution from JM Huber will support a wide array of events and initiatives planned for the Adams County Bicentennial celebration in 2025.

“We are incredibly grateful to JM Huber for its generous support of our bicentennial celebration,” said Mark Peter with the Adams County Bicentennial Commission. “Their contribution underscores their commitment to our community and will help make this once-in-a-lifetime celebration truly memorable.”
