Adams County CEO donates proceeds from class business to Horizons Soup Kitchen

QUINCY — The Adams County CEO Class of 2025 donated a portion of the proceeds from its class business, Frosty Flics, to Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry, 224 S. Eighth, during an April 17 ceremony.
Frosty Flics, a drive-in movie event at Flinn Stadium, was created and operated entirely by the Adams County CEO students as part of their year-long entrepreneurial training. The successful event featured holiday films and attracted hundreds of community members during its five-night run.
This is the second donation the Adams County CEO Class has made to a local non-profit organization from the proceeds of their business. They donated $1,000 to Connect Child and Family Solutions in March.
Adams County CEO provides high school students in Adams County with hands-on business experience. Throughout the year, students engage with local businesses, receive mentorship and develop essential entrepreneurial skills, ultimately preparing them for successful futures in business and community leadership.
The funds the students raised during this year’s class business are returned to each student in the form of grants to help them with the start-up costs for their individual businesses.
