$1.15 million in improvements to Kellerville Blacktop will begin Monday

Kellerville Blacktop

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. — Work on the Kellerville Blacktop (North 1200th Ave) from Five Points east three miles to the bridge over Lierly Creek will be start July 26.

The Adams County Highway Department says work on this project consists of recycling the existing road surface, patching, shoulder and entrance work, pavement resurfacing and markings. Work on this project is expected to be complete by mid-September.

The road will be open to traffic with flagger-controlled movement through the moving work zones. Over-width vehicles and equipment movement will be restricted because of equipment moving along the road during working hours. Those drivers should consider alternate routes or adjust their travel plans. Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained. There will be no marked detour routes for traffic.

Diamond Construction Company of Quincy is completing work on the $1,149,310 project.
