Ferguson crowned Little Mister, Zanger named Little Miss at Adams County Fair Pageant

 MENDON, Ill. — Twenty-five children between the ages of 3 and 6 competed Wednesday night in the Little Miss and Mister Pageant at the 80th annual Adams County Fair.  Children were judged in private interview with judges, onstage presence and onstage interview. 

Braxley Ferguson, 4, was named Little Mister Adams County 2022.  He is a son of Ashley Lowe and Michael Ferguson of Quincy. Brody Haughey, 5, was the first runner-up.  He is a son of Justin and Alexis Haughey of Quincy. 

Georgia Zanger, 6, was named the Little Miss Adams County 2022.  She is a daughter of Nick and Brandy Zanger of Loraine. Lynnix McDonald, 6, was named the first runner-up.  She is a daughter of  Emily Stephenson and Keegan McDonald of Quincy.

The winners of the People’s Choice award were Lynnix McDonald and Marcus Buck, 4, a son of Jonathan and Sarah Buck of Quincy.

The “Be Like Grace” award was given to a contestant who was observed being kind to others in the competition. Josephine Engel, 4, was chosen for this award.  She is a daughter of Brandon and Devan Engel of Quincy. The award is given in honor of the late Grace Schell, who died in an ATV accident. Schell was the second Little Miss Adams County, crowned in 2011.
