Gathering eggs, and stacking bales seems like some standard chores around the farm, but it was all part of an agricultural obstacle course Sunday at the Adams County Fair.

More than 200 people turned out to watch the fair’s 4th Annual 4-H Fight to the Finish on Sunday.

Twelve local 4-H clubs participated to win hundreds of dollars in prize money for their clubs.  Teams competed in a variety of different challenges including moving a hay wagon by hand and transporting feed bags in wheelbarrows.
The winners — the Ellington Hilltoppers — walked away with $400 for their club.

The Adams County Fair continues through Tuesday.

Fair Board Directors began this event several years ago to support area youth and local 4-H clubs and their club projects, while providing fun entertainment for fairgoers. The event has more than doubled in the past few years; last year four teams competed in the event compared with 12 this year.

Here are the standings:
1st Place- $400 — Ellington Hilltoppers 4-H Club
2nd Place- $300– Burton Fliers 4-H Club
3rd Place – $200 — Quincippi 4-H Club
4th Place – $100 — Holy Heroes 4-H Club
