Funding available for local non-profits through Community Foundation

QUINCY — Local nonprofits seeking to build their programming, expand their mission and better their communities are invited and encouraged to apply for funding through the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri’s annual competitive grant program. The deadline to submit grant applications is at 11:45 p.m. June 1.

Grants are made for charitable purposes to organizations that have IRS 501(c)(3) classification or are government entities. Projects must serve within the Community Foundation’s service area of Adams, Brown, Hancock, and Pike counties in Illinois; and Clark, Knox, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls and Shelby counties in Missouri. 

Grants for arts and culture, community betterment, education, health and human services range up to $7,500 for program/project support and up to $2,500 for general support requests.  Grants will be awarded in mid-August.
