Missouri man arrested on child porn charges

PLATO, Mo. — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Texas County, Missouri man on an outstanding warrant for Solicitation of Child Pornography and Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
Elbert B. Butler, Jr., 52, of Plato, Mo., was arrested June 29 following a nearly year-long investigation. Butler allegedly committed the crimes while working for the Sunshine Amusement Company’s carnival during the 2022 Adams County Fair.
He was located and arrested with assistance from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
Butler is lodged in the Adams County Jail on $50,000 bond.
