Workforce Innovation Board

QUINCY — John Wood Community College and the Workforce Innovation Board of Western Illinois will offer an accelerated welding certificate program beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

This spring accelerated welding program is two weeks shorter than the normal time frame.  Individuals can earn their welding certificate in just 14 weeks and be job ready.

Qualified individuals will receive funding for tuition, mileage, welding kits, books and internships paid for through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. If an applicant does not qualify for WIOA, financial aid assistance could be used.
