QUINCY — Tri-State Veterans Support has issued a fundraiser challenge to help reduce veteran suicides and invites the community to participate.

The challenge is simple. Complete 20 push-ups per day for 20 days to help bring awareness and show support to help reduce the suicide rate among local veterans. Upon completion of the goal, ask 20 friends to donate $20 in support of veteran suicide prevention.

Once the challenge is completed and donations are collected, mail a check for the total collected to: Together with Tri-State Veterans, P.O. Box 912, Quincy, Ill., 62306.

Groups and organizations already committing to the challenge are:

  • Legacy Martial Arts
  • Together With Tri-State Veterans
  • Tri-State Veterans Support
  • Quincy Police Department
  • Quincy Fire Department
  • Blessing Health System
  • Tri-Township Fire Protection District

The mission of Together With Tri-State Veterans is to help reduce veteran suicides within the region and let veterans know they are not alone.
