Honor Guard of Legion Post 37 to honor people who died in 9/11 terrorist attacks with Monday ceremony

QUINCY — A ceremony to honor the memories of the people who perished in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa., on Sept. 11, 2001 will be presented by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 37 at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at City Hall, 730 Maine. 

The Honor Guard will be led in prayer by the Rev. Dave Hall. Immediately following the prayer, the Honor Guard will perform the traditional rifle salute of three rifle volleys followed by Taps.

A luncheon for all first responders will be provided by American Legion Post 37 after the ceremony at the legion, 116 N. Eighth.
