QUINCY — Hope Grows Here, which commemorates individual experiences with cancer, will be held Sunday, June 5, from 1-3 p.m. at the Quincy Medical Group Cancer Institute, 3301 Broadway, in the Quincy Town Center.

The community is invited to honor local cancer patients and survivors. A short program will begin at 1:45 p.m.

Guests will create a bouquet of flowers at the Sweet P Petals flower trailer, which provides a build-your-own-bouquet experience. Attendees can write words of encouragement and support on the “If These Walls Could Talk” chalkboard wall in the Cancer Institute and write cards to patients receiving treatment. Those in attendance are encouraged to stay for the short program and enjoy sweet treats from local businesses.

National Cancer Survivors Day is recognized each year on the first Sunday of June to honor people impacted by cancer. People in attendance are asked to wear masks inside the QMG Cancer Institute.
