Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex to open Monday with several special events scheduled during week

QUINCY — The Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex will open at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 12.
Several special events are scheduled for the first week. These events are:
- Movie Night beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday June 13, sponsored by Arts Quincy
- Family Fun Night beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15-sponsored by Blessing Health System
- Juneteenth Festival beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 17-organized by Juneteenth Community Festival Committee
Hours of operation and capacity for the pool will be limited as more lifeguards are needed before the pool can operate at full capacity.
Current hours of operation are:
- Sundays — 2-6 p.m.
- Monday through Saturday — 1-4 p.m.
- Thursday evening — 6:30 p.m. for Family Fun Night sponsored by Blessing Health Systems.
Anyone age 15 and older interested in lifeguarding can stop by the Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex, 701 N. Eighth, on Monday, June 12, to apply.
