JWCC to be host of first Blazer Pep Band Day on Saturday

QUINCY — John Wood Community College will be the host its first annual Blazer Pep Band Day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Student Activity Center at 48th and Harrison. This event is free to all high school junior and senior band students.

Students are invited to get the college experience of playing pep band for the women’s and men’s basketball games at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Free lunch and t-shirts will be provided. Interested students should bring their instrument, water bottle and folding music stand. Students will rehearse in the morning, break for lunch and get a short tour to experience being a JWCC Trailblazer for the day.
