Kroc Center to be site of Easter events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
QUINCY — The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center invites area community members to attend its Easter weekend events. All events are free and open to the public at the Kroc Center, 405 Vermont.
Easter events begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 7, with a United Good Friday Service. Three area Christian denominations will come together with The Kroc Church for this ecumenical service. Corps officers Maj. Shelley McClintock and Capts. Brandon and Megan Lewis and local pastors will lead the service.
Pastor Tom Rains with Quincy First Southern Baptist Church, Rev. Carl Terry with Bethel AME Church, McClintock and the Lewises will speak at the United Good Friday Service.
The celebration will continue at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, with the Bunny Hop Easter Party that will have treats, games, crafts, activities and Bible lessons. This event is free and open to children ages 12 and under.
Easter Sunday events will begin at 9 a.m. with a breakfast in the Meadows. Easter worship service will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Worship Theatre.
