Local gaming guild to be host of No Hunger Game Day on Saturday at Quincy Town Center
QUINCY –– The Great River Gaming Guild will hold a charity No Hunger Game Day to benefit Horizons Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the Quincy Town Center.
The Great River Gaming Guild was founded in 1980. Its purpose is to promote a positive image for miniature, card, board and role-playing games and their players and to provide a safe place for its members to meet.
The guild is the host of events such as No Hunger Game Day and Quincon, and it runs the game room at Fallcon. Quincon 36 will be held July 14-16. The first No Hunger Game Day was in 2014. It is free to attend, but the guild is asking for donations of non-perishable food items.
There is no deadline to sign up, but participants can sign up for games in advance at https://warhorn.net/events/no-hunger-gameday-quincy-il.
There also will be non-scheduled games to play, such as fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, a variety of board games, the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, the Heroscape miniature game, the Savage World’s rpg, the Pokémon video game and two World War II miniature games.
