Mega inflatable heart and brain to be featured at Family Fun Day and Health Fair on Sept. 17

QUINCY — Take a walk through the human heart, or brain, or both and learn how they work on Saturday, Sept. 17. Blessing Health and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois will hold a Family Fun Day and Health Fair from 9 a.m.-noon.at the Oakley-Lindsay Center.

This no-cost event will feature:

• Health screenings including blood pressure, EKG, body composition scans and take-home colorectal cancer screening kits. 
• Hands-on activities including hands-only CPR and hand hygiene.
•  There will be information available about vaccines, in addition to information on the care available from the Blessing Behavioral Health team and the Blessing Vision Center staff.  
• Cooking demonstrations presented, in part, by Kohl’s Wholesale; prizes and giveaways and hands-on fun hosted by the Quincy Children’s Museum.

Attendees also can take home free fresh produce. BCBSIL will provide the produce, and the Blessing Wellness Center team will offer a recipe that features the produce.
