QUINCY — The primary series monovalent Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for individuals ages six years and older is no longer available at the Adams County Health Department.

This vaccine has expired per the manufacturer, and Moderna is currently in the process of updating its formulation. People who started the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines with Moderna can switch to Pfizer to complete their series.

People who have received a bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster are considered up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines. At this time, guidance does not allow for multiple bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines.

The Adams and Pike County Health Departments continue to recommend all individuals ages six months and older remain up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines. The immunization clinic offers Pfizer primary series COVID-19 vaccines, Novavax COVID-19 vaccines and bivalent Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 boosters.

The Adams County Health Department immunization clinic is open on a walk-in basis Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Pike County Health Department immunization clinic is open on a walk-in basis Monday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m.

People wishing to receive a vaccine should bring their insurance cards and photo ID.
