Personal finances focus of Blessing Health’s community job skills workshop, hiring event

QUINCY — Job seekers attending Blessing Health’s next community job skills workshop and hiring event can to build their personal financial knowledge at no cost, as well as interview for a position at Blessing Health.

The hiring event takes place from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center, 639 York. It is sponsored by Blessing Health, West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging and the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

No advance registration is needed. On-site registration at 9 a.m. will be followed by Adam Tallcott of Edward Jones leading two free skill-building personal finance sessions.

  • 9:15 a.m.: Simplify Your Spending and Saving Strategies
  • 9:45 a.m.: Put Your Retirement Plan to Work

Interviews with Blessing Health hiring leaders begin at 10:15 a.m. Interviews will be for positions in the certified nurse assistant training program, the Early Learning Center, Denman Linen, environmental services and food and nutrition departments.
