Pro-life supporters asked to form life chain Sunday at 16th and Broadway
QUINCY — The Catholic Church in the United States celebrates October as Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is designated as Respect Life Sunday.
Community members are invited to join with other area pro-life supporters at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, in peaceful public witness. A life chain for 60 minutes will allow supports to praying for the nation and for an end to abortion. This event is held in more than 1,400 cities in the United States.
Signs will be available at the corner of 16th and Broadway from 2 to 2:30 p.m. People should position themselves two arms-lengths apart, rather than stand in groups, on the south side of Broadway between 14th and 18th. Those attending are asked to park on either 16th or Vermont.
