Quincy Service League awards $1,000 scholarships to seven local students

QUINCY — The Quincy Service League recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to seven local students. Profits from the Quincy Service League’s annual Holiday Gift Show fund these scholarships.

Receiving the scholarships were:

  • Addy Cunningham, a senior at Quincy Senior High School. Plans to major in kinesiology.
  • Ellie Lock, a senior at Quincy Senior High School. Will attend University of Nebraska-Lincoln and major in actuarial science.
  • Madeline Davis, a recent graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in environmental biology and a graduate of Unity High School. Now pursuing a master’s degree in education. 
  • Emily Strieker, a senior at Quincy Notre Dame. Plans to attend Iowa State University and major in architecture.
  • Haley Dotson, a student at Culver-Stockton College and graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Majoring in art therapy.
  • Luke Walbring, a senior at Quincy Senior High School. Plans to attend John Wood Community College and major in business.
  • Zachary Foote, a senior at Central High School. Will attend Iowa State University and major in computer engineering.
