QUINCY — Quincy Notre Dame students, staff and families collected more than 8,000 non-perishable food items during its annual food drive for Quincy Catholic Charities, sponsored by the QND Kindness Club.

A QND “Canstruction” event was held in the gymnasium. Each of the 16 QND student houses had to use their groups’ donated items to build a structure within a 30-minute time period.

QND invited several guest judges, including Kevin Williams, area director of Quincy Catholic Charities, to score the creations based on ingenuity, attention to detail and first impression.
