QUINCY — The Quincy Medical Group Foundation is marking its 15th anniversary this year. and it is kicking off a campaign this month to raise $15,000 by the end of 2022. Community members are encouraged to donate $15, with all proceeds benefiting the QMG Foundation Community Impact Fund, which provides financial support for projects, programs, patients or improvements needed for organizations.

“Seeing our communities and residents flourish is truly at the heart of what we accomplish through the
QMG Foundation,” QMG director of community relations Morgan Parker said in a press release. “We can’t do it alone. It takes a community to create maximum impact. With the Community Impact Campaign, we hope to celebrate this milestone year by further investing in programs and partnerships that are fulfilling the needs of all those who live in our region. The Community Impact Fund allows us to do that.”

During the first weekend in October, the QMG Foundation Board partnered with The Fellowship of Carpenters, a men’s fellowship group at First Christian Church in Keokuk, Iowa, who began “A Bed for Every Child” ministry in the fall of 2017. The goal of this organization is to provide a comfortable bed for every child who needs one in the Keokuk area. Each bed comes with a new mattress, sheets, mattress pad, plastic mattress protector and bedspread.

“Our organization wanted to give back to the communities it serves,” said Carol Brockmiller, QMG CEO and one of the founding board members of the foundation. “The QMG Foundation has grown in our service to others, evolved our mission and focus and delivered more benevolence to the area than we ever thought possible. There is much work to do, and the 15th anniversary of the QMG Foundation seemed like a perfect time to celebrate what has been done and further build our community
impact through donations that in turn allow us to help so many.”
