Registration under way for JWCC’s JDub Academy classes for children in June

QUINCY — Registration is now open for John Wood Community College’s JDub Academy, which offers classes for students during June and July.

JDub Academy provides hands-on learning for grades K-12 in agriculture, art, baking, computers, cooking, dance, healthcare, science, sewing and more. Area youths may choose from a variety of classes during three sessions offered Monday through Friday on June 12-16, June 19-23 and June 26-30. Each week will have an 8-9:50 a.m. session and a 10-11:50 a.m. session. Children may choose to attend one or both sessions.

Ag-Ventures and the Great Outdoors, Babysitting Basics, Be A Princess Ballerina, Cheer Camp, Clay Play, Gotta Catch ‘Em All, Horsing Around!, Let’s Play with Food, Stories for Every Season and Theatrical Makeup are just a few of the new classes offered this year. JWCC has provided learning opportunities for area youth for over 25 years. This program offers children hands-on academic and enrichment workshops on a college campus. All courses are designed to teach new and meaningful skills, excite students about learning and discover ways to explore future careers.
