Second Tuesday program at Tri-State Area Center to focus on seasonal depression
QUINCY — Tri-State Area Center for Women’s Ministries Second Tuesday program for the month of August will be held Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 522 S. Eighth. Guest speaker Sydney Meyer will talk about seasonal depression.
Meyer is an interventionist at Quincy Medical Group with a specialty in behavioral health. She received her bachelor of science in psychology from Southern Illinois University in 2017 and a master’s in education in both mental health counseling and school counseling from Quincy University in 2021.
Meyer works primarily with college students from Quincy University and patients with BCBS insurance under supervision until she gains her full licensure after two years of clinical experience.
In a press release, Meyer said, “I aim to be a positive light in all my patients’ lives and help them grow and reach their goals throughout therapy.”

Tri-State Area Center for Women’s Ministries is open from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays, with Cup of Grace meeting from 10 a.m.-noon.
Tri-State Area Center for Women’s Ministries is a non-profit inter-denominational peer counseling ministry for women and girls (ages 18 and up) which helps women focus on emotional, mental and spiritual wellness.
