QUINCY — The Historic Quincy Business District will have its sixth annual community dinner fundraiser returns at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7. This year’s feast will seat 200 people on Hampshire between Fourth and Fifth.

“We are fortunate to showcase Quincy’s historic architecture as the perfect backdrop for feast,” said Emily Lombardi, director of economic development, in a press release. “With the help of The Corinthian and Quincy Medical Group, we are able to continue this tradition of celebrating local chefs and Quincy’s rural agriculture at one community table.”

The District teams up with local farms and restaurants for the five-course dinner. Food will be presented by:

  • Jon Hanchett and Madison Steinkamp of the Fuzzy Bubbler
  • Crystal Dieterle of Wicked Thyme Charcuterie
  • Shawn Foehring of Seoul2Soul Bistro
  • Jared Tipon of 8te Open and
  • Brian Lash of KrAzY cAkEs Café and Bakery.

The local beef will be produced by Althoff Farms, and Angela Barnes of Momma Bee’s Garden will make the floral arrangements.

“To me, nothing feels more like family than sitting together over dinner,” Lombardi said. “Our hope is to make you feel the pride of being part of our Quincy family.”

Reservations are required for this event. Tickets are available for purchase on The District’s website, Feast | Community Dinner 2022.

Tickets are $100 apiece and sold in pairs. Dinner is at 7:30 p.m., with cocktails at 6 p.m. Beer and wine will be available for purchase courtesy of The Corinthian Event Center.

All attendees are asked to bring a canned good to donate to a local food bank.

This year’s community feast is presented by Quincy Medical Group. Other sponsors are Craig Industries, All Phase Properties, TI-Trust, Blessing Health System, The Paxton’s, First Mid Bank and Trust Quincy Main and The Relish Jar.

Proceeds from the event benefit the District, a nonprofit organization with a mission to promote, revitalize and preserve Quincy’s historic business district.

The District is a non-profit volunteer-driven organization devoted to the growth, preservation and economic vitality of downtown in Quincy, Illinois.
