QUINCY, Ill. — United Way of Adams County will officially start its “YOU Are United Way” campaign on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at ONE Special Event Venue, 600 Hampshire.

A social hour will start at 5 p.m. followed by a short program at 6 p.m. that includes a video premiere and the goal announcement. United Way partners, board members, sponsors and volunteers will announce plans for the upcoming campaign including the 2023 campaign goal.

Elisha and Tanner Freiburg will be this year’s campaign chairpersons and lead the fundraising efforts. Brooke and Patrick Cook will co-chair this year, preparing them for chair duties in 2024.

Reservations are recommended, with all proceeds for the event going toward the annual campaign.

In a press release, Tanner Freiburg said, “A community isn’t complete without an organization like the United Way. It is vital that we all play our part and help the United Way reach their goal. With your help, we are confident that the United Way will hit their target and be able to provide the services our community needs.”
