ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. — United Way of Adams County will be the host of a blood drive from 10 a.m-3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, in the conference room at United Way of Adams County, at 936 Broadway, Suite F.

In a press release, Jenna Hull, director of development and communication for United Way, said, “It is great to be able to return to hosting a blood drive. The American Red Cross is a United Way partner, and their impact on our community is significant, not just for blood services but for disaster relief and veteran support.”

During June, donors will receive a $10 gift card by email for donating and a chance to win a backyard theater package. Subway has donated mini sandwiches and cookies for all donors with appointments who give blood at the United Way drive.

“We urge community members to donate blood and help a local supply of blood is ready and waiting before an emergency occurs. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life” Hull said.
