QUINCY — “We Have Your Six,” a comedy and concert fundraising event, will be held Friday, Jan. 13 at Down Home Pub and Eatery, 509 S. Ninth. Doors for this fundraiser for veteran suicide prevention will open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. and continuing until 11 p.m.

Entertainment for the event will be country singer Jake Gill and comedian Vernon “Longhorn” Davis. Gill grew up listening to country music but recalls he was unsure about music as a vocation. Trying out for “The Voice” and winning a songwriting contest gave him the opportunity to open for Jason Aldean and made him think, “I can do this.” He began to focus on music as a career.

Tickets are $8 in advance and can be purchased online at outhousetickets.com. The ticket price at the door will be $10.
