Women invited to free breast self-exam class on April 26

QUINCY — Blessing Breast Center nationally certified patient navigator Jessica Nuebel will be the host of a free breast self-exam class from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26. Registration is required. Participation is limited to 10 women.

Those attending will practice on life-like breast models to encourage breast awareness through increased recognition of the difference between the texture of normal tissue and lumps. Women are encouraged to conduct a self-breast exam monthly and report any changes they notice to their healthcare provider to reduce their risk of developing breast cancer.

Nuebel is a MammaCare Method certified self-breast exam instructor. MammaCare is the internationally recognized standard for breast examination.
