QUINCY — A job fair will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Friday, June 9, at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center, 639 York.

Experienced workers ages 50 and over, veterans and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to attend. All people seeking employment are welcome. There is no cost to attend.

The job fair is presented by the West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services, National Asian Pacific Center for Aging (Senior Community Service Employment Program provider) and Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials/Quincy Workforce Center.

In a press release, Mary Crawford of the West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging said, “We are seeing more older adults interested in re-entering the workforce, whether it’s to help pay the bills or remain active in their local communities. It’s important to showcase the skills and experience they bring to the workforce. Connecting all job seekers with employers face-to-face benefits both groups.”
