Adams County Master Gardeners to be host of 28th annual Gardener’s Palette on March 2

QUINCY — The University of Illinois Extension Adams County Master Gardeners will be the host of the 28th annual Gardener’s Palette from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center, 639 York.

Jeff Vancil from Hart’s Nursery in Bushnell will be this year’s keynote speaker and discuss the importance of diversifying tree species.

Following the keynote address, participants will have the opportunity to attend three breakout sessions of their choice. Breakout sessions offer a variety of topics, including two hands-on “make and take” sessions. University of Illinois Extension Educators from around the state of Illinois will be providing four of the breakout sessions. Additional speakers include Master Gardeners and local horticulture experts.

Cost for the workshop is $40 and offers the opportunity to participate in gardening education classes, receive class materials, enjoy a delicious lunch and have a chance to win door prizes.
