Area cancer survivors invited to special event on Saturday at Blessing-Rieman College
QUINCY — All area cancer survivors and a guest are invited to indulge and engage at “Evolve,” a free event designed for them from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, 3609 N. Marx Drive. The Blessing Cancer Center team will be the host of the event.
Evolve will feature chair massages, manicures, “man cave” activities, flower essences, crafts, food demonstrations, snacks and treats, door prizes and more.
“Evolve is an opportunity for any cancer survivor – no matter where they receive their care – to come and have a few hours of fun and relaxation at no cost to them. Oftentimes, medical expenses can limit those types of activities for cancer survivors,” Mary Ripper, outpatient clinical therapist at Blessing Health and Evolve leader, said in a press release.
There is no cost to attend Evolve. Registration is not required. However, people who go online to www.blessinghealth.org/evolve and confirm they will attend will be entered to win a prize.
