Barry Community Chorus to present Easter cantata Sunday

BARRY, Ill. —The Barry Community Chorus will perform its annual Easter cantata, “The Easter Story,” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Barry United Methodist Church, 720 Perry.

The cantata presents the story of Holy Week through Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection via new and familiar songs as well as narration.

It is under the direction of Judy Steers and accompanied by Cindy Piper. JoAnn Ruff and Jason Washington will narrate, and soloists will be Jim Funk, Teresa Goetten, Tina Moyer and Larry Stapleton.

Babysitting will be provided. A free-will offering will be accepted at the door.
