Bowen church offering Blue Christmas worship experience Dec. 18-20

BOWEN, Ill. — Blue Christmas, a gentle, contemplative, hands-on worship experience for people who are struggling during the season of celebration is being offered by Pastor Sheri Renner and Living Faith United Methodist Church, 106 E. First, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 18-20.

Attendees move at their own pace from station to station, with each station having a kid-friendly option.

The holiday season often is difficult for people whose hearts are hurting. This event is for people grieving the loss of a loved one, struggling with illness, unable to be with family, hurting from a broken relationship, overcome with worry, suffering a job loss, overwhelmed with life in general or in a time of transition. Expressions of grief, sadness, loneliness, uncertainty and anger are welcomed.
