Brain Trauma Awareness Organization to hold open house Saturday at Quincy Public Library
QUINCY — The Brain Trauma Awareness Organization will hold an open house from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Quincy Public Library, 526 Jersey. The open house will offer coffee chats for caregivers, information on networking groups and ideas for summer recreational activities.
The Brain Trauma Awareness Organization, a 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1982 and is affiliated with the Brain Injury Association of Illinois and Missouri. For more than 40 years, the organization has been helping people to connect to local resources to meet people’s and family caregivers’ needs after all types of brain injury. The mission of the Brain Trauma Awareness Organization is to promote prevention and provide education to our community on brain trauma and spinal cord injury as well as provide advocacy and support to those persons who have had injuries.
