QUINCY — Boy Scouts of America Troop 22 chartered by Holy Name Society of St. Francis Solanus Parish in Quincy recently had five Scouts — Trevor Nelson, Cole Willer, Jack Costigan, Joel Nelson and Joseph Radel — earn the rank of Eagle.

Fewer than four percent of Scouts earn this rank in the United States. Troop 22 Scoutmaster is John Hamann.

Scouts must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges to become an Eagle Scout, including 11 required ones. Although the scouts earned the rank at various times during the last year, they were formally presented with the rank at a Court of Honor held on March 10.
