Cancer survivors invited to celebrate with Blessing Hospital Cancer Center team on May 30

QUINCY — Cancer survivors and their loved ones are invited to join the Blessing Hospital Cancer Center team in Quincy on Friday, May 30, to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day from 1 to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at 11th and College. There is no cost to attend the event. Cancer survivors – no matter where they were treated – and their loved ones from across the region are invited to attend.
Each cancer survivor attending will receive a Cancer Survivors Day T-shirt to tie-dye at the event. Additional T-shirts will be available for purchase. Along with snacks and refreshments, the event will feature a trunk party and a photo opportunity.
“There are more than 18 million cancer survivors across the country,” Dr. Robert Johnson, board-certified radiation oncologist and Blessing Cancer Center Medical Director, said in a press release. “Cancer Survivor Day events provide a way for these exceptional people to connect with each other, celebrate milestones and recognize those who have supported them.”
