Carthage Park District pool open, offering swim lessons week of June 17 and July 15

CARTHAGE, Ill. — The Carthage Park District’s pool is open for the summer. Younger children will enjoy the zero-entry area that is perfect for toddlers and beginning swimmers. Older children can enjoy playing pool games and going off the diving board.  Snacks and drinks are available in the concession stand.

Group and private swimming lessons, a Mommy and Me class and water aerobics led by Julie Schmudlach will be available throughout the summer. Group lessons will be held the weeks of June 17 and July 15.  Registration at http://www.carthageparkdistrict.org/swimming-lessons/ or by calling the pool at 217-357-3435.

Recreational swimming hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission prices are:

  • $5 for adults
  • $4 for children ages 3-17
  • Individual season pass-$70
  • Family of five season pass-$160
  • Punch card good for 25 Admissions-$65

The pool is available by appointment for private pool parties and celebrations. The cost is $160 for two hours with a $25 non-refundable deposit.
