Adams-County-CEO

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. — Adams County CEO is accepting applications from juniors enrolled in high school in Adams County who are interested in participating in the 2025-26 CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program during their senior year.

The CEO Program, provided by the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship, is an accredited, year-long course designed to get students out into their community and equip them with business knowledge. There is no cost for the students or the schools to participate in Adams County CEO because of the generosity of local program investors.

Adams County CEO connects students with real-world business leaders, fostering creativity, problem-solving and leadership skills. By working directly with local businesses, students develop entrepreneurial acumen and a deep appreciation for the opportunities in their community.

Students meet each day in local businesses where they learn about the inner workings of companies and hear from community leaders. Those who participate learn professional business concepts, are paired with a mentor in the community, and, from start to finish, set up a functioning business.

Students learn about professionalism and essential life skills. They have the opportunity to explore career opportunities and are encouraged to develop relationships with community leaders.

Students of all skill sets and backgrounds can be successful in this class, provided they are hard-working, trustworthy and willing to take on an exciting challenge.
