Drop off letters for Santa, bring canned goods or snacks and walk the Winter Wonderland Path
QUINCY — Santa letters, lights and cans for Christmas returns for another year at 5729 S. 24th.
From 5 to 9 p.m. every day through Dec. 25, visitors can follow the lighted walk through the Winter Wonderland Path and drop off letters for Santa. Admission is free, but organizers request visitors leave a canned good or snack donation. In addition to canned goods, suggested items for donation include mac and cheese cups, PopTarts, granola bars, chips, Ramen noodles and any easy-to-open items. All donations will be donated to food pantries.
The Elf on the Shelf has dropped off a mailbox for letters to Santa. Letters should include a name and return address and be placed in the North Pole Post Office. The Elf delivers them to Santa each night and brings responses back later in the night.
Sheets for a multiple skill-level scavenger hunt are available at the entrance of the path.
On Dec. 6 and 7, the Grinch and his helpers will hand out free hot chocolate, reindeer food and candy canes from 5 to 9 p.m. Photos with Santa will be offered from 5 to 8 p.m.
