QUINCY — Edwards Group: Estate Planning and Elder Law has announced its newest office in Quincy, 332 S. 36th, Suite 2, will officially open its doors on Tuesday, June 11.
This marks the firm’s third location, demonstrating its commitment to helping more families in Illinois achieve peace of mind through effective estate planning. The firm’s main office is in Springfield with another satellite location in Decatur.
The new Quincy office will provide comprehensive estate planning and elder law services.
Edwards Group is offering three free educational workshops in June at the Quincy location that are designed to provide insights into estate planning and elder care.
Free educational workshops in June:
7 Things You Need to Know Before Going to the Nursing Home — Thursday, June 13, at 3:30 p.m. Navigating the decision to enter a nursing home can be challenging. This workshop aims to ease the transition by offering practical advice on creating an effective plan to protect your family, understanding the differences between wills and trusts, and avoiding leaving a mess for your loved ones to handle.
Getting Started with Wills and Trusts — Wednesday, June 19 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. This workshop will cover the basics of setting up wills and trusts, helping attendees take the first step in protecting their family’s future.
People are encouraged to register early by calling 217-726-9200.
The decision to expand to Quincy was driven by the local connections that two existing Edwards Group staff members already have and the opportunity to serve more families in the region. Carla (Hoffman) Green and Erin Niekamp will be the main personnel in the Quincy office. Both are from the area and understand the community’s needs. Additionally, Elder Care director Melissa Coulter has family in the Quincy area.
