Friends of the Log Cabin to hold workday Saturday at log cabin village in Quinsippi Island Park

QUINCY — The Friends of the Log Cabins has scheduled a workday in the Log Cabin Village on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to noon. The village is in Quinsippi Island Park and can be accessed via All America Park, just off Bonansinga Drive. Plans are to prepare the village for Frontier Settlement Day on Sept. 14. 

Volunteers are needed to clean up the site and prepare the structures for public viewing. People willing to volunteer should wear old clothes and bring gloves if possible. Volunteers can arrive anytime between 8 and 9 a.m. Volunteers can simply show up or contact the Friends at logcabinvillagequincyil@gmail.com to let them they plan to help.

Volunteers are needed to help from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Frontier Settlement Day. Contact Friends to sign up.
