Gem City Kiwanis Club Foundation of Quincy accepting applications for grants
QUINCY — The Gem City Kiwanis Club Foundation of Quincy is accepting applications for grant money to be awarded in 2024 from the foundation.
The grant money distributed is to be used to benefit youths and/or youths and adults working together for the betterment of the community. The grant money is to provide enrichment of educational values, creative activities, cultural awareness, physical wellness or community service.
The Gem City “Breakfast” Kiwanis Club is a member of Kiwanis International, which was founded in 1915. Through service and fundraising, the club’s goal is to “Serve the Children of the World.” The money raised through the group’s trivia night, Peanut Day, Sammy and Friends golf outing and other activities is spent locally to help youths.
The annual Grant Day has provided more than $80,000 to local entities that support youths, with $18,000 being awarded in 2023.
Applications are available at gemcitybreakfastkiwanis.com. All applications must be postmarked by May 1 or emailed by May 3.
