QUINCY — The Maxwell Dempsey Wombles Memorial Crue donated a check for $22,000 to the Adams County Suicide Prevention Coalition at a Nov. 13 meeting at Transitions of Western Illinois.

The funds were raised through an annual golf tournament as well as a 50/50 raffle and over 70 raffle baskets. An after party held at Barney’s this year offered food trucks and vendors. The tournament was held Oct. 7 at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point. The second largest tournament held at Arrowhead each year had 36 teams participating.

The group continues to fundraise throughout the year. For more information, or to purchase shirts, visit https://birdease.com/maxwell womblesmemorial.
