Fortress Bank and The Wood Inn in Carthage are teaming for a cornhole tournament on Saturday, April 27. Games will be held near The Wood Inn. Check-in is at 10:30 a.m., with games starting at 11 a.m. All proceeds go to HCFC. Cost is $50 per for a two-person team and includes two drink tickets for beer, soda, wine coolers or seltzers. Space and game slots are limited. Call Fortress Bank at 217-357-3112 or 217-847-6675 to reserve a spot.

Tickets continue to be sold for a raffle of two half-a-hog pork bundles. The hog was donated by Randy and Rose Scheetz with processing provided by Farmhouse Meats. The winners will be drawn at the June 1 Hancock County Fights Cancer block party on the square in Carthage.
